Final Results

Stoney Creek, N.C.-- The Tarheel Youth Golf Association kicked off its 2006 season with a bang at Stoney Creek Golf Club. Courtney Taylor from Gastonia, the number 1 ranked girl in N.C., shot a 4-over par 76 to capture the one-day event winner's trophy. In second place with an 81 was the 2005 N.C. Junior Girls and 2005 Dogwood State Junior champion Amber Littman of Stoney Creek. Placing third was Colleen Estes of Cary with an 83.

Ryan Sullivan of Winston-Salem places first in the boys 14-18 age division with a very impressive 3 under par 69. Sullivan's only blemish on the day was a double bogey 7 on the 18^th hole. Sullivan won by 4 shots over Curtis Brotherton of High Point and Addison Scott of Thomasville.

In the other age divisions, Allison of Emery of Charlotte won the girls 12-13 division with an 84. Daniel Brantley of Asheboro won the boys 12-13 age group with a one over par 73. Tristan Lough of Burlington won the 11 and under division with a 41 on the par 36 front nine.
