Bradford Creek Golf Club Set to Host the TYGA Coastal Plains Junior Open
Southern Pines, NC – The Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA) is excited to announce Bradford Creek will host the Coastal Plains Junior Open.
The 36-hole stroke play event is scheduled to be played on June 30 – July 1. This event is open to the first 84 junior players ages 8-18. The top 10 in the boys’ overall division will receive exemptions into the 12th Dogwood Junior Championship. This event will be used for rankings for both TYGA and Junior Golf Scoreboard.
Bradford Creek is a true public course. It features open, rolling terrain, along 185 acres, with many tree-lined fairways, ponds, and slow-moving streams. All of this combines to create a visually beautiful experience. This Par 72 course is configured to produce yardages ranging from 5,124 yards from the forward tees to 7,151 yards from the championship tees.
Registration closes for The TYGA Coastal Plains Junior Open on June 22nd at 11:59 pm.

FORMAT
The championship format is 36-hole individual stroke play.
YARDAGES
Yardages will range from 5,171 – 6,873 depending on age division.
AGE DIVISIONS
Boys will compete in four age divisions; boys’ 11-12, boys’13-14, boys’ 15-16 and boys’ 17-18.
Girls will compete in three age divisions; girls’ 11-14, girls’ 15-18
Boys and Girls 10 & under will compete in the same division.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to any amateur golfer ages 8-18 as of June 30, 2016, who has not started college, is a legal resident of North Carolina.
PRIZES
Trophies are awarded to the champion, runner-up, and third place in both age divisions.
