Players to Watch at Archdale-Trinity Chamber Junior
87 junior golfers from across North Carolina are set to compete in the inaugural Archdale-Trinity Chamber Junior Open this weekend, March 18th and 19th, at Holly Ridge Golf Links in Archdale, N.C. The event will be a 36-hole stroke play tournament with boys competing in three age divisions (13-14, 15-16, and 17-18) and girls competing in one division. Starting times begin on Saturday, March 18th at 12:00pm off the first and tenth tees. Round Two starting times will begin at 8:00 am off the first and tenth tees. Players will be re-paired for Round Two based on Round One scores.

Boys’ field:
Symon Balbin of Pinehurst, N.C. Balbin, a high school sophomore, recently finished second in the Country Club of North Carolina Junior Masters and finished seventh in the 2016 TYGA State Championship. Balbin was a member of the Pinecrest High School NCHSAA State Championship team.
Bradley Calloway of Asheboro, N.C. Callaway, a high school senior, tied for second in the 2016 Mid Pines Junior Amateur and reached match play in the 2016 N.C. Junior Boys’ Championship. Calloway is currently ranked 36th on the TYGA NC Junior Boys’ rankings.
Carson Castelli of Greensboro, N.C. Castelli, a high school junior, is currently ranked in the top 100 in N.C. at number 93. Castelli won the TYGA Triad Chapter one day tournament at Forest Oaks CC and finished tied for third in the Grandover Junior in February.
Brandon Einstein of Clemmons, N.C. Einstein, a high school junior, has not finished out of the top ten in his last six junior tournaments. Einstein won the TYGA State Championship this past November and the TYGA one day tournament at Mid Pines Inn and GC in January. He also finished tied for ninth in the Donald Ross Junior. Einstein is currently ranked number 26 on the TYGA NC Junior rankings.
Justin Emmons of Asheboro, N.C. Emmons, a high school senior, won the 2016 NCHSAA 2A State Championship and the NC Trusted Choice Big I Junior. Emmons was named to the TYGA NC All-State golf team in 2016. He has committed to play college golf at UNC-Greensboro and currently ranked number 29 on the NC junior boys’ rankings.
Girls’ field:
Samanthan DeBusk of Lexington, N.C. DeBusk, a senior in high school, won the TYGA Tournament of Champions in 2016 and finished in sixth place in the TYGA High Point Junior Open. DeBusk has committed to play college golf at UNC-Pembroke and is ranked number 68 in NC.
Olivia John of Summerfield, N.C. John, a high school junior, is ranked number 26 in North Carolina. John has thirteen top ten finishes over the past twelve months and was named to the 2016 TYGA NC All-State golf team.
Hailey Joy of Reidsville, N.C. Joy, a high school junior, has won four junior tournaments over the past year and finished in the top ten thirteen times. Joy currently ranked number 23 in North Carolina and was named to the 2016 TYGA NC All-State golf team.
Madison Isaacson of Greensboro, N.C. Isaacson, a high school junior, finished first in the Henry Transou Junior this past September and reached the round of sixteen in the 2016 NC Junior Girls’ Championship. Isaacson was named to the 2015 and 2016 TYGA NC All-State golf team. She has verbally committed to play college golf at James Madison University.
