Buies Creek, N.C. (September 27, 2017) -- Results from the Tarheel Youth Golf Association’s North State High School Challenge hosted by Keith Hills Golf Club located in Buies Creek, N.C. on September 27, 2017.
Pinecrest High School team of Pinehurst, NC won its third straight North State High School Challenge at Keith Hills GC in Buies Creek, NC winning by four shots over E.A. Laney High School of Wilmington, NC. Ravenscroft School from Raleigh, NC finished third with a total of 235.
The individual title of the North State High School Challenge was won by Jayla Rogers, a Junior at E.A. Laney High School in Wilmington, NC. Rogers fired an outstanding round of two under par to win by two over Pinecrest High Schools' Mackenzie Battle, of Aberdeen, NC. Rogers winning the event was not her only highlight of the day. She used an 8-iron on the par 3, third hole to make a hole in one.
