Dechellis leads finishers after suspended first round
Tyler Dechellis leads all finishers at one-under-par after the partially finished first round.
SNOW HILL, N.C. (June 2, 2018) -- First round results of the TYGA Bojangles Junior Boys' Open at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 (7,280 yards, Par 36-36--72, Course Rating 75.3/144).

The day started with blue skies and sunshine at Cutter Creek Golf Club, but the first round of play at the Bojangles Junior Open could not be completed after two delays for heavy rain, with the second delay ending with a suspension of play.
10 groups finished play, with Tyler Dechellis of Clayton, N.C. leading all finishers at one-under-par. Defending champion Pierce Robinson of Kings Mountain, N.C. is also at one-under-par, but is through just nine holes.
Dechellis finished with just one bogey and two birdies on the day, with the birdies coming back-to-back on hole numbers eight and nine to finish his round.
No other players were under par with Zach Gilbert of Davidson, N.C. and Cameron Akers of Asheville, N.C. at even-par through nine holes.
The first round will restart at 8 a.m. and there will be no repairing and groups will remain the same for round two. Starting times for the second round tomorrow will be assigned later tonight.
The Bojangles Junior Boys' Open is a 36-hole, stroke play event.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer ages 13 to 18 as of June 2, 2018, who has not started college, legal resident of North Carolina. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by the TYGA or the host club. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or cell phone use during a stipulated round. About the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA)
The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golf clubs and golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country with over 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals.
The CGA annually conducts 48 championships and five team match competitions for men, women, juniors, and seniors. It also runs over 150 One-Day (net and gross) events as well as qualifying for USGA national championships. The CGF has distributed nearly $2,000,000 since 1977 to benefit Carolinas' golf initiatives including junior and women's programs.
