Preview: Bojangles Junior Boys' Open
SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (May 30, 2019) -- The Carolinas Golf Association will conduct the TYGA Bojangles Junior Boys' Open at Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, N.C. from June 1-2, 2019.

Kareem Elkison of Four Oaks, N.C. ranks 6th in the N.C. Junior Boys' Rankings and finished the TYGA Wedgewood HS Shootout at two-under-par.

Tyler Jones of Greenville, N.C. has had two top-15 finishes this year; one of them being the NCHSAA East Regional Championship where he tied for fourth position.

Randall Hudson of Durham, N.C. has a scoring average of 76.82 and has recently had two first place finishes; one of which was in the Tarheel Golf Foundation- 10th Annual UNC Tarheel Junior Championship.

Casey Osiecki of New Bern N.C. already has 10 top-10 finishes this year; one of which was the TYGA Archdale Trinity Chamber Junior Championship where he tied for second place.

Blake Brantley of Winston Salem, N.C. placed third in the NCHSAA- 4A State Championship and the 4A Midwest Regional Championship. Brantley has a scoring average of 77.24.

Parker Truesdale of Canton, N.C. has had four top-20 finishes this year and scored a total of one-over-par on the first day of the NCISAA 3A State Championship. Truesdale is aiming for his first championship win of 2019.

Clayson Good of Durham, N.C has three top-five finishes and two first-place finishes in the Tarheel Golf Foundation - 10th Annual UNC Tarheel Junior Championship and the 10th Annual CCNC Junior Masters.

Garrett Risner is ranked in the top 15 of the N.C. Junior Boys Rankings and placed in the top-20 of the Creed Boys’ Invitational and the CGA Carolinian Amateur. Risner is looking for his first championship title this weekend.
Cutter Creek is a beautiful but challenging 18 hole championship golf course where skills and mental game will be tested. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Bob Moore and has hosted numerous PGA, CGA, LPGA and USGA events. Cutter Creek GC has hosted the Bojangles Junior Boys' Open since its inaugural tournament in 2015.

The Bojangles Junior Boys' Open is a 36-hole, stroke play event.
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer ages 13 to 18 as of June 2, 2019, who has not started college and is a legal resident of North Carolina. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by the TYGA or the host club. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or cell phone use during a stipulated round.
