Field expanded to 18 teams for the North State HS Challenge
NORTH STATE HIGH SCHOOL CHALLENGE FIELD EXPANDED TO 18 TEAMS
Due to the high demand for a two day high school team tournament, Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA), NC Junior Golf Foundation and the Club at Irish Creek have been able to expand the field of the North State High School Challenge from 12 to 18 teams. “We knew there would be a lot of teams wanting to play in the tournament, so we asked Irish Creek if we could expand the field and they said yes” stated TYGA Director Chris Zeh. “Alan Cress and the Club at Irish Creek are great supporters of junior golf and have been so accommodating. It is great to work with people who truly believe in junior golf” added Zeh.The North State High School Challenge is a joint venture with the Tarheel Youth Golf Association and the NC Junior Golf Foundation. All public and private high school golf teams are eligible to participate in the event. The event will be played on March 20-21, 2015.
